What is the first thing that comes to your mind when we talk about comfortable outfits?

In conversations about putting together a comfortable outfit, some of you will reach for your worn-out jeans and hoodies while some of you think of your oversized home t-shirt that is now hanging under the sun because your mom finally got you convinced to have it washed. Guilty!

We all have our own personal take on what is a comfortable outfit. Those clothing pieces that your sister or brother finds comfortable may not be the same for you, or you and your best friend sharing the same choices for outfits but for totally different reasons. Which brings the question, how do we determine which clothing pieces is comfortable for us? Is it just based on how soft the fabric is? Does it go beyond just the materials?

Personally, I have always decided what is comfortable based on how the outfit makes me feel. Comfort is when my skin feels happy. It is when I am not fiddling around and having a second thought about my choice. A comfortable outfit is when I catch myself always going back to the same look. Kind of tells you how big of an influence comfort has in my personal style huh.

Loose fitting pants and fitted tank top pairing has been my most worn look for the past year. Having been spending most of my time at home during this pandemic, I find that loose pants work well for me. They are comfortable, airy and I feel so right when my skin gets to take a break from tight pants. While I love being comfortable, I still like to look put together. I always try to pair my loose pants with comfortable fitted tank tops so I could still enjoy the comfy-ness without looking sloppy. Plus, it feels great working around the kitchen with bare arms. And when I must go out to buy groceries, I won’t feel the need to change my clothes.

Here I paired my grey sweatpants with a yellow crop tank top bought during a sale. Totally worth the purchase! This shade of yellow is to die for. I completed the look with my slip-on sandals and my clutch purse. One last thing. Your mask! Sometimes, the only accessory you need during this pandemic is the one that can protect you.

I hope my sharing helps you in understanding better about your choice of comfortable outfits. What are your take on this? I would love to hear you.
